Instructions

  • Sit in a comfortable meditation position.

  • Close the eyes if it is comfortable for you.

  • Extend the tongue outside the mouth and roll it so that it forms a tube. Inhale through the rolled tongue.

  • OR

  • Hold the teeth lightly together.

  • Separate the lips to expose the teeth.

  • The tongue can be kept flat or lightly touching the soft palate.

  • Inhale through the teeth.

  • At the end of the inhale, close the mouth.

  • Exhale slowly through the nose.

  • At the end of the inhalation, draw the tongue in, close the mouth and exhale through the nose.

  • Excessive mucus

  • Chronic constipation

  • Winter or cool climates
