Find a comfortable seated position.
Take several breaths in and out, making the exhale just a bit longer than the inhale.
Continue this breathing pattern.
When you feel comfortable doing so, take your time as you look around your surroundings.
Allow your eyes to settle on objects within your space.
As your eyes settle on an object, say the name of the object out loud.
If there is an object that feels more comforting to you, feel free to stay with that object and repeat the name of it out loud multiple times.
Repeat this process until you feel grounded and calm.
